Is Metro ready for Eid?

After a month of fasting, Eid is a time to celebrate and normally that means celebrating at popular locations such as Malls. No doubt most commuters will use the Metro to avoid the bumper to bumper traffic.

But is the Metro ready for this large volume of crowds?

Since the Metro's launch there have been many reports of the Metro breaking down for hours, being filled beyond capacity and Metro staff not being knowledgeable enough to answer commuter queries. Since its launch the Metro has accomodated 323,996 commuters, thats a huge number considering the Metro was only launched on September 9th not even a full month.

I'm sure the RTA will make ample preparations for the Eid crowds - more feeder buses, more trains and so forth. But this Eid, I'll not be using the Metro I would rather play it safe and not use the Metro to avoid myself all the headache that could come by riding the Metro.

Please let us know if you will be using the Metro this Eid and if your feedback if you ride the Metro
